Welcome to my STL MO home page. New, Clayton Area Piano Bar!
A baby is born, and it’s a GRAND! It’s great to be playing the area’s new piano bar, Tucci & Fresta’s in Clayton MO. ‘Kim & Joe’ (of ‘Pasta House’ fame) have opened their own, signature Italian steak house after asking themselves, “Why isn’t there a piano-bar in Clayton?” My thoughts exactly, so join me there on most Thurs & Fridays, (splitting some Sats with Curt Landes/ at Ruth’s Chris downtown, & also Nate Carpenter on some evenings) 16 N. Central, 63105. Stop in for the Grand Opening going on now! Here are a few of my upcoming nights there, 7pm start time: I AM PLAYING ALL THURSDAYS & FRIDAYS IN DECEMBER- (+ Saturday, Christmas Eve, 5:30-9pm) NY Eve, for member-guests of the St. Louis Club / -Hope to see you soon!
Ruth’s Chris Steak House-Either Myself or Curt Landes On The Keys
Appearing here on many Saturday nights! Come on down to the Hyatt – At The Arch. The modern decor at Ruth’s Chris Steak House is posh, yet breezy, booth privacy curtains included (don’t be naughty)! All with a fantastic view of said stainless steel wonder. The staff goes out of their way for the guests at R-C. (BTW, drink and appetizer specials from 4 to 6 and even a $38 complete steak dinner special at all times). Located just off the lobby of the new HYATT Hotel on Chestnut (was the Adam’s Mark). Ruth’s Chris: 315 Chestnut, MO 63102 – (314) 259-3200. I play piano & sing- starting, 6:30pm – 10:30. A few of my coming Saturdays: December 3rd, 10th & 17th. My gig buddy, pianist Curt Landes will appear on my off-nights. (See Tucci & Fresta’s above).
A Little Holiday Music
Click Here for listening. A ‘Happy Holidays’ tune if ever there was one, THE CHRISTMAS SONG was written by Robert Wells and Mel Tormé in 1945. Here I am doing a rendition of it in early December ’11, in my south city dwelling. Enjoy!
Al Ox w/Curt Landes Open the ‘Bocci Bar’ In Clayton Wed. MAR 30th
This just in. Join us tonight, Wednesday March 30th at the opening of a new Clayton establishment, The Bocci Bar. It’s located on Central, next door to the recently opened Mosaic Market Bistro. Frank Schmitz, (BARcelona’s chef-owner) had hoped to have the restaurant open last October (which came and went!) at that time, we heard that it would serve pastas and pizzas made in-house, and that the concept would “not be tapas.” -Or topless, or something like that!
These sort of openings are always a blast – so please join Curt and I tonight. I will be on drums & vokes, and from what I have heard – Sinatra-esque tunes will weight the play list. 6pm downbeat. -AO.
