Alan Ox Pianist / Singer for Your Event

Thank you for visiting!  It will be my pleasure to tailor my talents to your event or venue. Your decision to deal directly with a St. Louis musician is smart. With years of experience on piano, drums, singing and performing at hundreds of events, I know what it takes to make a gathering a celebration, make a meeting a memory and make a venue come to life. To immediately reach me, please email me at tapguy @ (without spaces) or read-on…

Should your needs call for more than a soloist, my St. Louis friends are the musical cohorts I call upon to take the music to the next level. -And all without the added overhead of dealing with a booking agency.

A recent Sinatra tribute show at The Sheldon Concert Hall:

Do these clients and venues sound familiar? They are a few of the places I play in St. Louis;  The Ritz-Carlton, The Hilton Arch and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Cedar Lake Cellars Winery, Patrick’s in Westport, Sqwire’s in LaFayette Square and most every private club in the area including Westwood, St. Louis Country Club and more. Clients include the homes of some of the most notable St. Louis residents.

But you are interested in the ‘sound’ so please check out ‘Sound Bytes‘ on this site and the video(s) from my latest show (also above) at The Sheldon Concert Hall. But keep in mind that the music can be tailored to you. Not me in the spotlight, (though that can be arranged too!) but sculpting sound-scape that could range from background to foreground, solo to big band as apropos. As for my own style, if you love music like that of Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Billy Joel, Louie Armstrong, Motown and more, then we are on the same page. If you love Gershwin, Cole Porter and the Brazilian sounds of bosa nova, look no further. And my repertoire does indeed include wedding entry music for your ‘special day’ and even operatic singing if that is your requirement for the ceremony itself.

Whatever your requirements, let’s discuss it. And don’t forget to see my homepage with my playing schedule, locales and set times. Email me at tapguy @ (without spaces), and thank you again! -Alan Ox

About Alan Ox:

“This singer/dancer has stage presence,
panache, talent and then some…” – Alison Sieloff/ Riverfront Times STL

“What a thrill doing 5 performances debuting 2 new Alan & Marilyn Bergman songs with the Boston POPs… !”  –Alan Ox

“Oxenhandler’s singing is grounded in the tonal and rhythmic sensibility of all that came before. A ‘singing drummer’ of pop and jazz since early on, Al spent many nights gigging in St. Louis downtown clubs like ‘The Apartment’ and ‘The Red Onion.’ He switched gears at age 30 to pursue years of jazz piano studies with the legendary Herb Drury, while playing the city’s jazz scene. Al’s recent tenure at the Ritz-Carlton typifies his draw at other STL hotspots like Ruth’s Chris, as well as The Cheshire, Palm Beach & Fedora Cafés, Sqwire’s in LaFayette Square and now The HILTON in downtown St. Louis.”       – SHADES OF JAZZ, NPR Radio, Robert Ginsburg
