A baby is born, and it’s a GRAND! It’s great to be playing the area’s new piano bar, Tucci & Fresta’s in Clayton MO. ‘Kim & Joe’ (of ‘Pasta House’ fame) have opened their own, signature Italian steak house after asking themselves, “Why isn’t there a piano-bar in Clayton?” My thoughts exactly, so join me there on Fridays • 16 N. A Little Holiday Music

Click Here for listening. A ‘Happy Holidays’ tune if ever there was one, THE CHRISTMAS SONG was written by Robert Wells and Mel Tormé in 1945. Here I am doing a rendition of it in early December ’11, in my south city dwelling. Enjoy!

Al Ox w/Curt Landes Open the ‘Bocci Bar’ In Clayton Wed. MAR 30th

This just in. Join us tonight, Wednesday March 30th at the opening of a new Clayton establishment, The Bocci Bar.  It’s located on Central, next door to the recently opened Mosaic Market Bistro.  Frank Schmitz, (BARcelona’s chef-owner) had hoped to have the restaurant open last October (which came and went!) at that time, we heard that it would serve pastas and pizzas made in-house, and that the concept would “not be tapas.” -Or topless, or something like that!

These sort of openings are always a blast – so please join Curt and I tonight. I will be on drums & vokes, and from what I have heard – Sinatra-esque tunes will weight the play list. 6pm downbeat. -AO.

Valentine’s Day ‘weekend’

With V-Day falling on a Monday, it’s likely that romantic reveling will meander through the weekend. Well, I gotcha covered! In chocolate! Not really – (unless you hire me to cover you in chocolate, this can be worked out!) Here’s my schedule:

FRIDAY NIGHT Feb 11: Candicci’s in Ballwin 63011, 6:30-9:30. It’s on Holloway Rd at Manchester across from Targét! (636 220 8989)

SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY Feb 14th: Ruth’s-Chris Steakhouse, downtown by ‘The Arch’. 6:30-10:30. Reservations recommended. I am usually here on Saturdays, but this w/e through Monday, Valentine’s Day too. Hours will vary on Sunday & Monday. Located off the lobby of the HYATT Hotel, on Chestnut at 4th. Great seafood (and gargantuan onion rings!). And oh, and did I mention THE MUSIC?

For those new to my music, welcome. I am a singing pianist – doing the three ‘B’s’. Beatles to Blues, to Ol’ Blue-Eyes (with other consonants in-between…) A piano-bar variety of tunes. Folks have been known to sing along & cut the rug. But please, no singing WHILE you’re cutting the rug; that can get ugly! Please stop in.
