Have Your Holiday Gathering at The Sheldon & Enjoy a Sinatra Tribute Show Friday Dec 19 2014

Here’s the idea: Treat your guest list on Friday December 19th to a holiday party with a twist; Along with the cocktail gathering in the Sheldon Atrium Annex, a live Sinatra Tribute concert too!

This is a one-night opportunity for a company or organization of around 50 to 200 people, perhaps yours to try something different this holiday season in St. Louis. (Also an opportunity for Alan Ox to fill some concert seats for his show!)

Start with your catered social gathering around 6:30 pm hosted in the public Atrium/ Edison Annex, connected to the famous Sheldon Concert Hall (see Annex building on right). The Sheldon is in midtown, just around the corner from The Fox with plenty of parking available, street and paid lots.

There is the private ‘Patron Room’ in that area that can be set up with the appetizers/ entrees prepared by one of the Sheldon’s approved list of top St. Louis gourmet caterers. The Patron Room even allows direct access to the beverage bar. Your guests can mingle and dine in the larger public area, though access to the Patron Room will be for your party only.

Things wind-up from there. At just before 8 pm, guests will be ushered into the concert hall for a great jazz performance of Sinatra’s best songs sung by Alan Ox and backed up by The Dave Venn Group. For more on Alan, please see below! After the show, please stop back into the Atrium, meet the band and join us all for a bit more socializing at the after-party.

About Alan Ox:

“This singer/dancer has stage presence,
panache, talent and then some…” – Alison Sieloff/ Riverfront Times STL

Sinatra Blue tiny

“What a thrill doing 5 performances debuting 2 new Alan & Marilyn Bergman songs with the Boston POPs… !”  –Alan Ox

“Oxenhandler’s singing is grounded in the tonal and rhythmic sensibility of all that came before. A ‘singing drummer’ of pop and jazz since early on, Al spent many nights gigging in St. Louis downtown clubs like ‘The Apartment’ and ‘The Red Onion.’ He switched gears at age 30 to pursue years of jazz piano studies with the legendary Herb Drury, while playing the city’s jazz scene. Al’s recent tenure at the Ritz-Carlton typifies his draw at other STL hotspots like Ruth’s Chris, as well as The Cheshire, Palm Beach & Fedora Cafés, Sqwire’s in LaFayette Square and now The HILTON in downtown St. Louis.”        – SHADES OF JAZZ, NPR Radio, Robert Ginsburg

A special note from Alan:

I am thrilled about my next show at the Sheldon Concert Hall on Friday December 19th in St. Louis. Backed by the world class Jazz Group, I will be performing some of Sinatra’s most loved tunes in a show called STRAIGHT UP,  A SHOT OF SINATRA. Is there any other way to do it? When it comes to ‘Frank’ I don’t think so! Tunes such as FLY ME TO THE MOON, THE WEE SMALL HOURS, NANCY WITH THE LAUGHING FACE, I’VE GOT YOU UNDER MY SKIN, THE BEST IS YET TO COME and many more will be featured in the show, along with some seasonal surprises. Show is at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm. General admission, open seating pricing is $20. I am so looking forward to the music, as well as the privilege of your presence.. Ciao!

If you would like to look into this further, call directly at 314 720 45-zero-zero  and ask for Alan Ox.  Many thanks!
